For over 130 years, Savannah State University has been an important part of higher education. The 201-acre campus is by far the most picturesque in the state of Georgia. The moss-laden sweeping oak trees, expansive marsh and historic architecture create a resplendent yet tranquil atmosphere. Beneath the beauty and splendor is a vibrant residential campus bursting at the seams with the vim and vigor of quality collegiate life: relevant academic majors, engaging lectures, cutting-edge research, quality student-faculty engagement and a nurturing environment. We invite you to become a part of the SSU family. Here are some things to keep in mind before scheduling a campus tour:
Self-guided tour attendees will receive information about the university's admissions process and a detailed guide book that includes: history of the university, walking instructions, a campus map (with stop locations) and building images with descriptions. There will also be an admissions representative to answer any questions and direct attendees to any departments they desire to speak to while on campus.Click here for the Self-Guided Tour Booklet
Consider joining us for Open Campus Day. This is the optimal day to view the campus as we will have guided tours and faculty/staff from our academic departments available to meet students! Check back in August for the 2022-2023 Open Campus Day dates.
