Campus Tours

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING YOUR CAMPUS TOUR.

University Changes in Response to COVID-19

Savannah State University holds the health and safety of our guests, students, and faculty/staff as the highest priority. In response to COVID-19, we have altered our in-person visit experience until further notice.

Due to COVID-19, we are limiting the number of visitors during each campus tour. Guided and self-guided will be offered to persons meeting the following criteria:

    • Current high school, transfer and graduate students
    • Persons with members, including the student and children, of 4 or less (guided), 9 or less (self-guided)

Unfortunately until further notice, group tours (guided or self-guided) cannot be conducted due to current university COVID-19 policies. Groups are defined as 10+ persons. Please contact the Office of Admissions if you would like to schedule a session for your group or organization: Karsten Tyson, Assistant Director of Admissions at tysonk@savannahstate.edu or 912-358-4090.

We encourage you to register early for your preferred time as dates will close as capacity is met. All tours are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

All visitors are required to wear a mask or cloth face covering while on campus, effective July 15, 2020 per the University System of Georgia.

    Guided Campus Tours

Guided campus tours consist of the following:

    • a university information session
    • a guided tour of campus with a current SSU Tiger Ambassador
    • an information packet about the university

We encourage you to ask your student facilitator about their experience as an SSU student. We want you to know firsthand what it means to be a Savannah State Tiger.
