    Middle & Elementary School Tours (K-8)

    Due to the great demand for guided group tours and limited available staffing, we are only able to offer guided group tours to prospective students that are in 9th grade and above. However, groups with K-8 Tiger Cubs that are interested in scheduling a self-guided campus tour, email Self-guided tours include a detailed guidebook for chaperones and a welcome/Q & A session with an admissions representative for the students.

    Open Campus Day (Highly Recommended) 

    Who should attend: current high school, transfer and graduate students

    Wondering what SSU life is really like? (It's awesome by the way). Don’t take our word for it—come see for yourself! With SSU’s Open Campus Day, you and your family can get to know us better. Held each fall and spring semesters, this is your chance to talk to our professors, hang out with our current students, meet our staff, and get a glimpse of all we have to offer. We offer campus tours, an admissions and financial aid session and an academic marketplace don't want to miss out! Click here to register for Open Campus Day.

    Campus Tours

    Who should attend: current high school, transfer and graduate students

    Guided TourSpring 2024 tour dates available January 2024

    Guided campus tours is a two-hour experience conducted by student ambassadors showcasing historic campus landmarks, classrooms, campus life and so much more. Participants begin with a brief presentation from an Admissions staff member, followed by a 60 to 90-minute walking campus tour. Space is limited. Registration is required.  Visitors without a reservation will be directed to a self-guided tour option.

    Self-Guided Tour

    Self-guided tour attendees will receive information about the university's admissions process and a detailed guide book that includes: history of the university, walking instructions, a campus map (with stop locations) and building images with descriptions. There will also be an admissions representative to answer any questions and direct attendees to any departments they desire to speak to while on campus.
