Open Campus Day

    Why Choose SSU?

For over 131 years, Savannah State University (SSU) has been an important part of higher education. As the first public HBCU in Georgia and the oldest institution of higher learning in the historic city of Savannah, SSU has served this community with distinction while meeting the educational needs of an increasingly diverse student population.

    What is Open Campus Day?

Open Campus Day is an opportunity to meet current students, faculty, staff, and the admissions team. Get an up-close look at the University by the Sea and all it has to offer you as a future student.

Open Campus Day is our cornerstone event for high school seniors and transfer students in the college search process. Open Campus Day is an all day, in-person event that includes an academic fair, campus tour, and information sessions about admission and financial aid. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with current students, faculty, and staff, and you'll leave with all of your questions about our application process answered.
